 COLUMBIA ALUMINUM CORP. ADDS JAMES JURA TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
 VANCOUVER, Wash., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Kenneth D. Peterson Jr., chairman of the board of privately owned Columbia Aluminum Corp., announced that James J. Jura is joining Columbia's board of directors. This will expand the present board to seven members.
 Jura is currently general manager of Associated Electrical Cooperative Inc., in Springfield, Mo., a position he began in August 1991. Prior to that he had been administrator of the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) in Portland, Ore., for five years and BPA's executive assistant administrator from 1980 to 1986.
 Jura came to Washington state in 1962. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and went on to graduate with his master's in Business Administration from Seattle University while working for The Boeing Co. Prior to joining BPA, Jura worked in Washington, D.C., in the president's office of management and budget.

"I became acquainted with Jim about the time I entered the aluminum business and have been impressed with his commitment to excellence, fairness, integrity and the flow of ideas.  Columbia Aluminum Corp. is believed to be the world's third- largest privately held company engaged in manufacturing both primary and secondary aluminum. The company, including its subsidiaries and affiliates, smelts, recycles, extrudes, fabricates and distributes aluminum, aluminum alloys and their associated products, from facilities in Washington, Oregon, California, Texas and Kentucky. The company is also developing a 223-megawatt electricity-generating plant in Washington.
