COLOR SECTION OF PITTSBURGH PRESS MAILED TO SUBSCRIBERS
PITTSBURGH, May 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The "color" section of inserts and comics scheduled for this Sunday's edition of The Pittsburgh Press has been mailed over the past 24 hours to nearly 400,000 households by the Pittsburgh Press Company, the company said today.
The section includes Pittsburgh Magazine, Parade and a variety of advertiser supplements which had been contracted for prior to the strike called by Teamsters Local No. 211 last Sunday night. The company said it expects the bulk of the sections to arrive in homes on Saturday.
Although a decision to print and distribute a Sunday edition of The Pittsburgh Press has not been announced, the company decided to use the mail to ensure that subscribers would receive this popular section and that the company's obligation to its advertisers was met.
