COGNITRONICS NAMES MATTHEW J. FLANIGAN TO ADDITIONAL POST OF CHAIRMAN
 STAMFORD, Conn., March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Cognitronics Corporation (AMEX: CGN) said today that its board had elected Matthew J. Flanigan, president and chief executive officer, to the additional post of chairman of the board.
 Flanigan succeeds David H. Shepard, who founded the company in 1961. Shepard will continue as a director.
 Flanigan, 46, started his career with Cognitronics in 1965 as an associate engineer, advancing through technical, marketing and other managerial positions, to become chief executive officer in 1989.
 Cognitronics is a leading manufacturer and suppler of voice processing equipment, including telephone network announcement products and interactive voice response (IVR) systems, to telephone operating companies, original equipment manufacturers and commercial users. Cognitronics also manufactures precision machined parts and electro- mechanical assemblies.
