COGNITRONICS APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT

 DANBURY, Conn. Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Cognitronics Corporation, (AMEX: CGN), a leading manufacturer of voice processing equipment, today announced the appointment of Brian J. Kelley to the position of president and chief executive officer, effective immediately.
 Cognitronics also announced the resignation of Matthew J. Flanigan as president and chief executive officer. Flanigan has agreed to continue to serve as a director of Cognitronics.
 Kelley, 42, formerly served as executive vice president of TIE/communications, Inc., Overland Park, Kansas, a leading supplier of telecommunications products and services.
