COCA-COLA NESTLE REFRESHMENTS COMPANY LAUNCHES NESTEA(R) POST-MIX FOUNTAIN ICED TEA

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Coca-Cola Nestle Refreshments Company today announced the introduction of Nestea post-mix fountain iced tea for the food-service channel.
Nestea sweetened and unsweetened post-mix iced tea will be available nationally through the Coca-Cola USA Fountain Division. Nestea will replace the iced tea product previously offered through Coca-Cola USA Fountain.
"We are very excited to introduce our new Nestea post-mix iced tea, bringing the Nestea trademark to the fountain beverage business. This provides expanded exposure for the Nestea brand, and, at the same time, offers consumers a familiar brand they know and trust. We believe there is a tremendous potential for our Nestea post-mix product," said Harry E. Teasley, president and CEO of Coca-Cola Nestle Refreshments Company.
The product is targeted to current Coca-Cola Fountain customers who use post-mix iced tea, as well as those who now offer a fresh-brewed product, but are looking for the efficiencies and consistent good taste of a quality, post-mix iced tea like Nestea.
Specially designed Nestea iced tea dispensers at food service establishments will provide visual marketing of this product at the point of sale.
"Currently, about 293 million gallons of iced tea are consumed away from home. This represents less than 20 percent of total iced tea consumption. We firmly believe there is a lot of room to grow away-from-home iced tea consumption through our quality ready-to-drink Nestea iced tea products, including new Nestea post-mix," added Teasley.
Coca-Cola Nestle Refreshments Company was formed in 1991 as a joint venture between The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE: KO) and Nestle S.A. to develop and market ready-to-drink coffee, tea and chocolate beverages worldwide.
