COCA-COLA (JAPAN) COMPANY INTRODUCES TAB CLEAR

 ATLANTA, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The Coca-Cola (Japan) Company today announced plans to introduce TAB Clear, the ultimate diet soft drink, in Japan.
 The Japanese introduction of the new, flavorful soft drink is scheduled for mid-March. Japan becomes the third nation, on a third continent, to introduce TAB Clear.
 This week, TAB Clear has reached store shelves in Great Britain, supported by a massive sampling program.
 TAB Clear first appeared on store shelves in 10 U.S. cities on Jan. 4.
 Marketing activities for TAB Clear will include advertising developed specifically for the Japanese market, but will continue to support the positioning of "It's Not What You Think!" used in the U.S.
 The British rollout of TAB Clear is being supported with a major sampling program, a radio promotional tie-in and the introduction of "Clear Theater" to British consumers. Advertising for TAB Clear will debut mid-February in Britain.
 In its first three weeks in an initial 10 markets in the U.S. -- Atlanta, Boston, Houston, Kansas City, Memphis, Miami, Minneapolis, New Orleans, St. Louis and San Francisco -- TAB Clear has achieved 100 percent availability in the retail trade and very high awareness levels among consumers.
 Expansion of TAB Clear into other U.S. markets will be announced soon.
 TAB Clear is sugar free and calorie free and has all natural flavors.
