COBALT GROUP LAUNCHES YACHTWORLD(TM)!

SEATTLE, March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Cobalt Group's YachtWorld service, which can be accessed on the World Wide Web at http://yachtworld.com, gives yacht buyers and fender kickers the ability to find the boat of their dreams in a large and growing database of power and sail yachts from ten countries around the world.

Photos of over 1,000 yachts for sale --

YachtWorld's database of over 1,000 yachts worth over $200 million is the largest of its kind on the Internet, and is growing daily as brokers from around the world submit their listings. Listings can include multiple photographs and line drawings, and users may search by type, price, length, location, and other relevant criteria.

YachtWorld generates sales for brokers --

"Within two weeks of having my listings posted on YachtWorld, I received calls from two serious purchasers and a half-dozen others about listings of mine which interest them," said Robert Heay, owner of Port Orchard Yacht Sales in Port Orchard, Washington. "I have since sold a $60,000 sailboat to a first-time buyer from Alaska who found the boat on YachtWorld. The photos and detailed information in the YachtWorld listing were enough to convince him to fly down to see the boat and complete the purchase," said Heay.

"With YachtWorld, yacht brokers now have an efficient and cost- effective means to reach potential buyers around the world, and yacht buyers can find -- and see -- the boats of their dreams" said Jessica Muffett, Publisher of the YachtWorld service. "As a former yacht broker, I designed YachtWorld to let yacht brokers harness the power of the Internet to reach new buyers. Each listing on YachtWorld has a direct link to the listing broker's homepage, making it very easy for buyers to contact the broker to learn more about the listing," said Muffett, who is a former board member of the Northwest Marine Trade Association and previously owned a yacht brokerage and charter company.

Unparalleled Marine information resources --

In addition to the listings database, the YachtWorld service has a wealth of information of interest to yacht owners and recreational marine enthusiasts. These resources include The Boating Yellow Pages, with over 10,000 searchable marine business listings. The Superyacht Society sponsors the Superyacht Directory with YachtWorld, which includes a directory of builders, charters, events, products, publications and services. Additional features include, predictions of marine weather patterns by month for seven regions around the U.S., and over 1,800 reviews of marine-related books and videos. Soon, the service will also feature monthly tide charts for 50 U.S. locations and an on-line catalog with more than 100 nautical software titles.

The YachtWorld service can be accessed at http://yachtworld.com. It is a division of The Cobalt Group, Inc., a developer of database applications delivered over the World Wide Web.
