COAS visits flood affected areas in Naseerabad, Jafferabad, Dera Murad Jamali.

Dera Murad Jamali, August 17, 2010 (Frontier Star): Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani on Tuesday visited Naseerabad, Jafferabad, Dera Murad Jamali and reviewed in detail the relief activities taking place in various relief flood camps. Upon arrival he was welcomed by Corps Commander Lt Gen Javed Zia and IG FC Major General Saleem. Army Chief was given a methodical briefing of relief and rescue works taking place while on the occasion army chief directed for providing more doctors for the relief camps and timely medicines and assistance. We will not leave flood affectees in dire straits, he said. We are passing through tough phase but we need collective and joint efforts, he stressed. Pak army he said is taking down to earth steps to provide relief to the down trodden flood affectees, wherever they are.
