CMS ENERGY GAS MARKETING UNIT FORMS ALLIANCE GAS SERVICES

 DEARBORN, Mich., Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- CMS Energy Corporation (NYSE: CMS) today announced that its natural gas marketing unit, CMS Gas Marketing, and Fellon-McCord & Associates of Louisville, Ky., have formed Alliance Gas Services, Inc., to jointly market natural gas principally in the Appalachian region of the United States.
 Under the agreement, CMS Gas Marketing will supply Alliance Gas with 100 percent of its natural gas requirements to meet Alliance's customer needs, as well as helping to increase its market share in the east- central U.S.
 "The formation of Alliance Gas Services allows us to expand our sales base. It enables us to move forward with a niche player with local expertise in the Appalachian production region and increase our service-oriented customer business," said William W. Schivley, vice president of CMS Gas Marketing.
 "We are aligning not only with the tremendous gas supply capabilities of CMS, but also with their enhanced technical skills in production, transportation, storage, cogeneration and so forth," said Fellon-McCord principal Drew Fellon on the formation of Alliance Gas Services.
 Alliance Gas Services offers gas marketing, trading, consulting and management services for small- to medium-sized producers and end-users of natural gas.
 CMS Gas Marketing currently serves more than 400 customers in 15 states, with annual purchase and resale of approximately $160 million of natural gas. It offers gas procurement, storage and gathering services to customers of 25 local gas distribution utilities in the east-central region of the U.S.
