CMS/DATA CORPORATION ANNOUNCES MACINTOSH VERSION OF PC DOCS(R)OPEN(TM)

 TALLAHASSEE, Fla., May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- CMS/DATA Corporation (NASDAQ: LAWR) recently announced that its wholly owned subsidiary PC DOCS INC. is developing a Macintosh front end for their new generation document management system, PC DOCS(R)OPEN(TM). Chadbourne & Parke, a New York-based law firm, has purchased a 600 user license of PC DOCS(R)OPEN(TM) which will be the first installation of the Macintosh product. The firm, with over 275 attorneys and offices in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Moscow, and Dubai, will operate PC DOCS(R)OPEN(TM) in an environment with a mixture of Apple Macintosh computers and PCs running Microsoft Windows. A release date has not yet been set for the macintosh front end of the product.
 PC DOCS(R)OPEN(TM) is a powerful new generation document management system which utilizes an open architecture design, supports client/server SQL databases such as Sybase, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Gupta and Watcom, and is integrated with Novell, Banyan, LAN Manager and Windows for Workgroups. Application integration includes WordPerfect for Windows, Microsoft Word for Windows, Ami Pro and Excel.
 Curt Meltzer, director of Information Services at Chadbourne & Parke, stated, "The strong Windows interface attributes and the flexibility of the product were important considerations in the firm's decision to purchase PC DOCS(R)OPEN(TM)." Meltzer also cited PC DOCS(R)OPEN(TM)'s architecture and open systems approach as important in the firm's decision to implement the document management system.
