CMI CORPORATION NAMES INTERNATIONAL EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

 OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- CMI Corporation (AMEX: CMX), a leading designer and manufacturer of automated highway construction and maintenance equipment, today announced the appointment of Lou Aguilera, as executive vice president, international operations.
 The company believes Aguilera's more than 20 years experience in finance and international sales and marketing will be extremely valuable in carrying out and expanding CMI's international strategy. "Lou has an acute understanding of CMI's product line, brings an extensive background of expertise and successful experience in marketing of construction equipment, with special emphasis in international markets," according to Jim Holland, chief financial officer, of CMI Corporation.
 Aguilera's primary responsibilities will be to manage and direct international marketing and sales, export product development and distribution, contracts and negotiations, overseas joint ventures and manufacturing sources.
 Aguilera comes to CMI from L.A. Corporation, a Miami-based consulting firm engaged in assisting middle-size firms with operational effectiveness and cost efficiency, and with mergers and acquisitions. Prior to that, he held various sales and management positions with Nordberg, Inc., Fiat-Allis, Portec, Inc., J.I. Case and First Wisconsin National Bank.
