CME Group sees NYMEX Brent futures record.

BANKING AND CREDIT NEWS-November 11, 2014--CME Group sees NYMEX Brent futures record


11 November 2014 -- Chicago-based derivatives marketplace CME Group (NASDAQ: CME) said that its NYMEX Brent (BZ) crude oil futures contracts set an open interest record on Thursday November 6 2014.

Open interest for NYMEX Brent set a record of 155,713 on November 6, surpassing the 150,000 contracts milestone for the first time ever, it said.

The previous open interest record of 149,955 contracts was set on November 5, 2014. Average daily volume for NYMEX Brent futures is more than 109,000 contracts for Q4-to-date.

NYMEX Brent crude oil futures contracts are listed by and subject to the rules of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
