CMA / Training Programme.

Muscat, May 22 (ONA) --- The training programme being organized by the Capital Market Authority (CMA) on the capital markets and insurance for the employees of the governmental units in cooperation with the Civil Service Ministry and Arab Planning Institute (API) in Kuwait started at Rotana Hotel in Al-Khuwair today. The programme touches on the capital markets and their goals, in addition to defining their role in realizing the economic development, in addition to casting light on the characteristics that should be available in the effective markets that could support the economic development plans in their comprehensive concept, as well as, defining the structural formation of the capital markets, long-term and short-term revenues of the financial market. The working papers of the training programme are presented by elite of experts and specialists. These working papers, discussions and inquiries about the capital market and insurance market will take part in clarifying many issues in relation to those two sectors considering them amongst the modern economic concepts in our communities in response to the demands of the progress witnessed by the international economy. This programme is organized as part of the awareness efforts being exerted by CMA for raising the saving, investment and insurance culture amongst all the community segments via holding seminars, lectures, distribution of posters and awareness bulletins that clarify the mechanism of dealing and benefiting from the capital market and insurance sectors, in addition to, underlining the economic significance being represented by the capital market and insurance sectors in availing the financing needs for the economic projects considering them the containers on which the savings are flown, consequently directing them to boosting these projects in the various economic sectors. It is worth mentioning that the current programme comprised of the first group of the employees of the governmental units. It is expected that CMA in collaboration with Civil Service Ministry and Arab Planning Institute would continue organizing such programme in order to absorb the second group of employees from the various governmental units by the beginning of October of this year. ---Ends/SA/FS
