LAHORE -- Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Dr Hasan Askari Friday said creating necessary awareness among masses about protection from hepatitis was crucial.
In his message on the World Hepatitis Day, the chief minister said society would also have to play its role for eradicating hepatitis from society. He said collective efforts would have to be initiated to save the new generation from this fatal disease.
'We could be protected from this fatal disease by adopting necessary precautionary measures as prevention is better than cure,' the message said. The CM said that an effective awareness campaign should be launched for protection from hepatitis and adoption of precautionary measures.
'It is a demand of the day that the departments concerned should perform their duties as practical steps are required to overcome hepatitis,' concluded the message.
