CM directs to start evening classes in colleges.
PESHAWAR -- Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakthunkhwa, Mehmood Khan Monday directed Higher Education to start evening classes in colleges across the province.
Chairing a review meeting of Higher Education, CM said that career counseling would be given to student after 8th class.
He said that after career counseling student would be in better position to choose their future line of action.
He also directed to introduce effective system for online verification of degrees.
During the briefing, it was informed that amount Rs 10 million had been generated through online admissions and this facility dmission would be extended to BS level in next three months, says official communique.
It revealed in the meeting that teachers presence in the merged districts would be made ensured through biometric system soon.
It was disclosed in the meeting that amount Rs. 410 million had been released during last last six months to enhance capacity building of colleges.
While briefing the Chief Minister, official of Higher Education informed that 2273 scholarships costing Rs.18 million would be released soon. It was told that six Phd scholarships have been granted to students to get admission among to top ranking university of the world.
Moreover, an amount of Rs 169 had been released for Phd scholarship in universities.
As many as 15 scholarship costing Rs. 4.5 million were given to undergraduate students.
