 CLINT SLY NAMED VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF WRIF-FM
 CINCINNATI, Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- David H. Crowl, president of the Radio Group of Great American Broadcasting Company announced the appointment today of Clinton W. Sly, Jr. as vice president and general manager of WRIF-FM, Detroit, Mich.
 "Clint has the abilities needed to help RIF regain its crown as the home of Rock 'n Roll in Detroit. He has been successful at every station he has managed, and we look forward to similar results in Detroit," said Crowl.
 Sly, 32, is currently vice president and general manager of KBPI-FM, Denver, a position he has held since 1990. For two years before that, he served as vice president and general manager of KEX-AM, Portland, Ore., where he had started as an account executive in 1984 and progressed as director of retail sales and new business development, local sales manager, and general sales manager before being named general manager in 1988. He began his career with Great American as an account executive in 1982 at WYNF-FM, Tampa, Fla., then owned by Taft Broadcasting, the predecessor to Great American. Sly holds a bachelor of arts degree in marketing from the University of Kentucky. He and his wife, Judith, have three children.
 Great American Broadcasting owns and operates 11 FM radio stations including WRIF and five AM radio stations, along with six VHF television stations affiliated with the major networks. Great American Broadcasting is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Great American Communications Company (NASDAQ: GACC) (GACC) whose stock is traded over- the-counter under the symbol GACC.
