CLICKMARKS POWERS INTERNET PORTAL IN NEW ZEALAND.

Clickmarks, a provider of software infrastructure for wireless carrier and enterprise clients, has announced that the Vodafone Global Platform and Internet Services (VGP), a division within the Vodafone Group Plc., have launched a wireless Web portal based on Clickmarks' software platform.

The VGP's new Web portal is branded, Vizzavi. By using Clickmarks' proprietary technology, VGP has created a feature rich portal for Vodafone wireless subscribers worldwide, that allows them to access specific, user-defined content and then select the exact information they want delivered to their Vodafone wireless phone. Vizzavi offers dozens of information categories including news, e-mail, alerts, local traffic and weather, stocks and financial information, surf and ski reports, lottery, humor, classifieds, even recipes and greeting cards.

"The VGP's adoption of the Clickmarks portal platform is a significant validation of our ability to service the needs of large, international carriers," said John Huyett, president and CEO of Clickmarks. "It underscores the usefulness of the Clickmarks Habitat(tm) to the vast number of users who depend on wireless networks."

"The VGP chose Clickmarks based on the company's ability to provide customizable applications for our wireless markets," said Tomas Isaksson, President and CEO of the Vodafone Global Platform and Internet Services. Awarded Best of Show (Business Application category) at Internet World Fall 2000, Clickmarks provides customizable applications and services for companies in the B2B/B2E and wireless markets. Its patent-pending pull technology allows users to aggregate preferred content and services from any Web site or enterprise resources, including dynamic, real-time information, onto a single Web page known as a Personal Habitat(tm), eliminating the time and trouble of hopping from site to site.

Once the content has been aggregated, the service then automatically translates it into wireless-compliant form, enabling users to access it from their wireless devices whether or not the information has been configured by the Internet or intranet sites to reach wireless users. Since less than 1% of the Internet has been wireless-enabled, Clickmarks' platform represents a significant breakthrough for users needing mobile access to critical information and services.

Clickmarks' innovative platform also powers two other products: Enterprise Habitat(tm), with which enterprises can customize Internet or Intranet mission-critical content for their mobile employees; and Instant Wireless and Voice Publisher(tm), a proprietary, instant wireless-enablement technology that requires no engineering effort and no recoding to adapt dynamic and static content for various devices, wired and wireless.
