CISAKOWSKI NAMED TO HEAD KAUFMAN AND BROAD'S GROWING FRESNO DIVISION

FRESNO, Calif., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Kaufman and Broad Home Corp. (NYSE: KBH), California's largest home builder, today announced it has named Richard "R.C." Cisakowski president of its Fresno housing division, effectively immediately.
Cisakowski replaces Michael Forsum, who launched the Fresno division last August and was recently named president of Kaufman and Broad's new Phoenix division.
Kaufman and Broad has rapidly become one of the Fresno area's best-selling home builders, with more than 150 homes sold in less than eight months. The company is currently selling homes in two communities, California Monet in Fresno and California Countrywood in Clovis. Prices at both locations start in the low $100,000s.
"We're confident that the excellent start we've made in Fresno under Mike's direction will continue and grow under R.C.'s leadership," said Roger Menard, president of U.S. operations for Kaufman and Broad. "What we said last August is still true -- Kaufman and Broad is excited to be in Fresno, we're pleased by the warm reception our homes have received, and we look forward to serving the market for many years to come," he added.
Prior to being named to his new post, Cisakowski served as Santa Rosa area manager for the company's South Bay division. In that capacity, he was responsible for local operations including land acquisition, construction management, sales and customer service for Kaufman and Broad's three currently active communities in the Santa Rosa area.
Cisakowski first joined Kaufman and Broad in 1991 from the Trammel Crow Co., where he served in a variety of positions in both the firm's residential and retail development operations in Florida. He earned a bachelor's degree in business from Georgetown University and a master of business administration degree with honors in real estate from Stanford University.
Replacing Cisakowski as Santa Rosa area manager will be Greg McWilliams, who has previously served as vice president, forward planning for Kaufman and Broad's Inland Empire division in Anaheim.
Los Angeles-based Kaufman and Broad is California's largest home builder and among the largest builders in metropolitan Paris, where the company develops commercial office properties and residential investment properties in addition to single-family homes.
