CIRCUS CIRCUS ENTERPRISES ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT WITH TRILLIUM CORP.
LAS VEGAS, May 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Circus Circus Enterprises Inc. announced that it has reached an agreement with Trillium Corp. to manage a riverboat gaming facility in Riverside, Mo., which is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. Trillium, a Bellingham, Wash.-based developer, owns one of three sites identified by the city of Riverside as a preferred location for an exclusive riverboat gaming facility within the city limits. Presentations to the city of the three contending groups are scheduled for May 4. Under the terms of the agreement, Circus also has options to purchase an interest in the gaming facility and the proposed resort development surrounding the gaming site. "We are hopeful that the city of Riverside will give the Trillium/Circus group the opportunity to develop a first-class gaming entertainment and resort complex in their city," said Circus chairman and chief executive officer William G. Bennett. "We are excited about the prospects of utilizing our very successful concepts of development in Riverside, Missouri," added Circus President Clyde Turner. Circus Circus Enterprises Inc. operates seven properties in Nevada: Excalibur; the Circus Circus resorts in Las Vegas and Reno; the Colorado Belle and Edgewater in Laughlin and Slots-A-Fun and Silver City in Las Vegas.
