CIPRICO OBTAINS ISO 9000 CERTIFICATION

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Ciprico Inc. (NASDAQ: CPCI) today announced that it has been International Standards Organization (ISO) 9000 certified by the British Standards Institution. The certification assures that Ciprico has thoroughly examined and documented its procedures defining the development, manufacture, and delivery of its products and services resulting in increased quality and customer satisfaction.
"Our ISO certification lays the foundation for our total quality program," said Robert H. Kill, president and CEO of Ciprico. "Our latest disk array products were developed adhering to the ISO quality standards we established and the result was increased customer satisfaction, with employees also benefiting from a tighter focus on design objectives, greater team effort and more job satisfaction." Kill went on to say, "We anticipate that our multi-national customers will require ISO certification in the future and we are positioned very well to meet their needs."
All Ciprico employees contributed toward qualification, since every employee's work influences product quality. Procedures are reviewed and updated on a regular basis and the company expects continual semi-annual audits as part of this certification.
