Internal control and risk management conference

CIMA supported the event, which was organised by UK Trade & Investment. Led by the Lord Mayor of the City of London, a panel of experts--including Benjamin Tang, director of audit at the Audit Commission; Kingston Ho, council member of CIMA's Hong Kong Division; and Doman Wong, director of risk advisory services at Baker Tilly Hong Kong--discussed how to get the right balance between risk and performance.

CIMA Ireland business challenge competition

June 13, Dublin

Letterkenny Institute of Technology won the final, held at University College Dublin. It will now represent Ireland at the CIMA Global Business Challenge final in Singapore.

Hong Kong Division annual general meeting

The 25th AGM was held at the Hong Kong Bankers Club. Leo Cheung, Paul Chan and Richard Kenworthy were elected as the division's president, deputy president and vice-president for 2009-10 respectively.

July 13, Kuala Lumpur

Malaysia's minister of federal territories, Y B Dato' Raja Nong Chik bin Dato' Raja Zainal Abidin attended the event, along with CIMA's president, Aubrey Joachim. CIMA Malaysia's divisional past president, Roland Selvanayagam, received the bronze medal for outstanding service, while ten other CIMA members received the institute plaque.

Summer camp for China's top CIMA Global Business Challenge teams
