 CIGNA HONORED FOR COMMITMENT TO INROADS MINORITY PROGRAM
 BLOOMFIELD, Conn., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The Greater Hartford Affiliate of INROADS recently awarded CIGNA Corporation (NYSE: CI) the "Corporate Plus Award."
 This award, given annually to two sponsoring companies, was presented in recognition of CIGNA's dedication to providing resources, training and employment for INROADS interns and graduates.
 CIGNA Corporation was one of the original corporate sponsors of the Greater Hartford INROADS program, donating $20,000 in 1989 to get the program started. This past year CIGNA's Connecticut headquarters location had 15 INROADS interns and four alumni working at the company offices.
 INROADS, a non-profit organization, is committed to the placement and development of talented minorities for leadership positions in corporate America, as well as in their local communities. There are 39 INROADS chapters nationwide.
 The Hartford INROADS chapter was started with 54 interns and 17 corporate sponsors in 1989. Today, it is the fastest growing chapter in the nation with 119 interns and 34 sponsoring corporations.
 The CIGNA Companies are leading providers of insurance, health care, employee benefits, pension and investment management and related financial services to businesses and individuals worldwide.
