 CIGNA CORPORATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTS ROBERT H. CAMPBELL
 PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 23, /PRNewswire/ -- CIGNA Corporation (NYSE: CI) announced today that Robert H. Campbell, chairman, chief executive officer and president of Sun Company, Inc., has been elected to the CIGNA Board of Directors.
 Wilson H. Taylor, chairman and chief executive officer of CIGNA, said, "We are pleased that Bob Campbell has joined our board. His broad business experience and substantial management expertise will be of great benefit to us. We look forward to his active participation and counsel."
 Campbell, 55, was named chairman of Sun in May 1992. He has served as president since February 1991 and chief executive officer since September of that year. An employee of Sun since 1960, he has held a number of engineering and management positions, including president of Sun Ship Building & Dry Dock Company (a former Sun subsidiary) and president of Sun Refining and Marketing Company, the subsidiary which owns and operates Sun's refineries, service stations, pipelines, ships and terminals.
 Campbell holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Princeton University, a master's in chemical engineering from Carnegie- Mellon University and a master's in management from MIT's Sloan School of Management.
 He is active in many professional organizations and serves on the boards of Philadelphia National Bank, American Petroleum Institute, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia Orchestra. He is also a member of the U.S. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuels Council and the EPA's Clean Air Act Advisory Committee.
 Sun Company, Inc. is an energy company with interests in U.S. and Canadian petroleum refining and marketing, domestic coal and coke production, synthetic crude oil production in Canada, and crude oil and natural gas exploration and production outside the United States.
