CHS, US Bioenergy Form Renewable Fuels Marketing JV.

CHS, Inc., a leading energy and grain-based foods company, recently announced it has entered into a joint ownership of an ethanol and biodiesel marketing company with ethanol production and management company US BioEnergy Corporation.

According to CHS, the joint venture (JV) includes current CHS wholesale ethanol and biodiesel marketing, "spot" sales and related storage and rail car transportation arrangements. The agreement combines US BioEnergy's current ethanol marketing contracts of over 200 million gallons annually through United Bio Energy Fuels, LLC (UBE Fuels) wholesale storage and rail transportation contracts and the marketing of ethanol and biodiesel from all current and future US BioEnergy plants for a limited term.

The JV will be led by former UBE Fuels interim director of fuels marketing John Litterio, who will serve as the director of renewable fuels wholesale marketing. Scott Swanson of CHS will serve as the JV's marketing manager.
