CHRYSLER REPORTS U.S. AND CANADIAN ASSEMBLY PLANT SCHEDULE FOR WEEK ENDING OCT. 8

 HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler Corporation (NYSE: C) reports seven of its eight U.S. assembly plants and all three of its Canadian assembly plants will operate next week.
 St. Louis (Fenton, Mo.) Assembly Plant II will operate two nine-hour shifts on Saturday, Oct. 2, and three seven-hour shifts each day next week.
 Jefferson North (Detroit), Newark (Del.) and Sterling Heights (Mich.) assembly plants will operate two nine-hour shifts each day next week. Jefferson North will operate two nine-hour shifts on Saturday, Oct. 2. Newark and Sterling Heights will operate two eight-hour shifts on Saturday, Oct. 2.
 Dodge City (Warren, Mich.) and Toledo (Ohio) assembly plants will operate two eight-hour shifts each day next week.
 New Mack Avenue Viper (Detroit) Assembly Plant will operate one eight-hour shift each day next week.
 In Ontario, Pillette and Windsor assembly plants will operate two eight-hour shifts each day next week. Bramalea will operate two eight- hour shifts for four days next week. Bramalea and Windsor will operate two eight-hour shifts on Saturday, Oct. 2.
 As previously announced, Belvidere (Ill.) Assembly Plant will not operate next week because of model changeover. The plant will resume production the week of Nov. 1.
