CHRYSLER REPORTS U.S. AND CANADIAN ASSEMBLY PLANT SCHEDULE FOR WEEK ENDING SEPT. 17

 HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler Corporation (NYSE: C) reports seven of its eight U.S. assembly plants and all three of its Canadian assembly plants will operate next week.
 St. Louis (Fenton, Mo.) Assembly Plant II will operate two nine-hour shifts on Sat., Sept. 11, and three seven-hour shifts each day next week.
 Jefferson North (Detroit) and Sterling Heights (Mich.) assembly plants will operate two nine-hour shifts each day next week. Jefferson North will operate two nine-hour shifts and Sterling Heights will operate two eight-hour shifts on Sat., Sept. 11.
 Dodge City (Warren, Mich.), Toledo (Ohio) and Newark (Del.) assembly plants will operate two eight-hour shifts each day next week. Toledo and Newark will operate two eight-hour shifts on Sat., Sept. 11.
 New Mack Avenue Viper (Detroit) Assembly Plant will operate one eight-hour shift each day next week.
 In Ontario, Canada, Bramalea, Pillette and Windsor assembly plants will operate two eight-hour shifts each day next week. Bramalea and Windsor will operate two eight-hour shifts on Sat., Sept. 11.
 As previously announced, Belvidere (Ill.) Assembly Plant will not operate next week because of model changeover. The plant will resume production the week of Nov. 29.
