CHRYSLER REPORTS U.S. AND CANADIAN ASSEMBLY PLANT SCHEDULE FOR WEEK ENDING AUG. 20

 HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler Corporation (NYSE: C) reports six of its eight U.S. assembly plants and all three of its Canadian assembly plants will operate next week.
 St. Louis (Fenton, Mo.) Assembly Plant II will operate two eight- hour shifts on Saturday, Aug. 14, and three seven-hour shifts each day next week.
 Dodge City (Warren, Mich.) Assembly Plant will operate two eight- hour shifts each day next week.
 Jefferson North (Detroit), Sterling Heights (Mich.), Newark (Del.), and Toledo (Ohio) assembly plants will operate two nine-hour shifts each day next week. Newark will operate two eight-hour shifts on Saturday, Aug. 14. Toledo will operate two nine-hour shifts on Saturday, Aug. 14.
 In Ontario, Bramalea, Pillette and Windsor assembly plants will operate two eight-hour shifts each day next week. Windsor will operate two eight-hour shifts on Saturday, Aug. 14. Bramalea will operate two six-hour shifts on Saturday, Aug. 14, and one six-hour shift on Sunday, Aug. 15.
 New Mack Avenue Viper (Detroit) Assembly Plant will not operate next week because of a scheduled vacation. The plant will resumet?ion the week of Aug. 23.
 As previously announced, Belvidere (Ill.) Assembly Plant will not operate next week because of model changeover. The plant will resume production the week of Nov. 29.
