CHRYSLER REPORTS U.S. AND CANADIAN ASSEMBLY PLANT SCHEDULE FOR WEEK ENDING JULY 23

 HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler Corporation (NYSE: C) reports five of its eight U.S. assembly plants will operate next week. One of its three Canadian assembly plants will operate next week.
 Jefferson North (Detroit), Newark (Del.) and Toledo (Ohio) assembly plants will operate two eight-hour shifts each day next week.
 Dodge City Complex - Warren (Mich.) Truck Assembly Plant will operate two eight-hour shifts each day next week.
 New Mack Avenue Viper (Detroit) Assembly Plant will operate one eight-hour shift each day next week.
 In Canada, Windsor (Ontario) Assembly Plant will operate two eight- hour shifts next week.
 St. Louis (Fenton, Mo.) Assembly Plant II will not operate next week because of model changeover. About 3,800 hourly employees will be on temporary layoff. The plant will resume production the week of July 26.
 As previously announced, Pillette (Ontario), Toledo, and Belvidere (Ill.) assembly plants will not operate next week because of model changeover. Bramalea (Ontario) will not operate next week because of scheduled vacation. The plant will resume production the week of July 26.
 Pillette will resume production the week of Aug. 2. Toledo will resume production the week of July 19. Belvidere will resume production the week of Nov. 29.
