CHRYSLER REPORTS U.S. AND CANADIAN ASSEMBLY PLANT SCHEDULE FOR WEEK ENDING JULY 2

 HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler Corporation (NYSE: C) reports four of its eight U.S. assembly plants and all three of its Canadian assembly plants will operate next week.
 St. Louis (Fenton, Mo.) Assembly Plant II will operate two eight- hour shifts on Saturday, June 26, and three seven-hour shifts each day next week.
 Jefferson North (Detroit) Assembly Plant will operate two eight-hour shifts on Saturday, June 26, and two eight-hour shifts each day next week.
 Sterling Heights (Mich.) Assembly Plant will operate two eight-hour shifts on Saturday, June 26, and two nine-hour shifts for four days and two eight-hour shifts for one day next week.
 New Mack Avenue Viper (Detroit) Assembly Plant will operate one eight-hour shift each day next week.
 In Canada, Bramlea (Ontario) Assembly Plant will operate two eight- hour shifts on Saturday, June 26, and one 10-hour shift on Sunday, June 27. The plant will also operate two eight-hour shifts for four days next week. Bramalea will not operate on Friday, July 2, because of the Canada Day holiday. Pillette (Ontario) Assembly Plant will operate one eight-hour shift on Saturday, June 26, and two eight-hour shifts for four days next week. Pillette plant will not operate on Friday, July 2, because of the Canada Day holiday.
 Windsor (Ontario) Assembly Plant will operate two five-hour shifts on Saturday, June 26. The plant will operate two eight-hour shifts for four days next week. Windsor will not operate on Friday, July 2, because of the Canada Day holiday.
 Toledo (Ohio) Assembly Plant will not operate next week due to model changeover. About 4,000 hourly people will be on temporary layoff. The plant will resume production the week of July 19.
 As previously announced, Newark (Del.), Dodge City (Warren, Mich.) and Belvidere (Ill.) assembly plants will not operate next week because of model changeover. Newark will resume production the week of July 12. Dodge City will resume production the week of July 19, and Belvidere will resume production the week of Nov. 29.
