CHRYSLER REPORTS U.S. AND CANADIAN ASSEMBLY PLANT SCHEDULE FOR WEEK ENDING MAY 21

 HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler Corporation (NYSE: C) reports seven of its U.S. assembly plants and all three of its Canadian assembly plants will operate next week.
 St. Louis (Fenton, Mo.) Assembly Plant II will operate two nine-hour shifts on Saturday, May 15, and three seven-hour shifts next week.
 Jefferson North (Detroit), Sterling Heights (Mich.) and Newark (Del.) assembly plants will operate two nine-hour shifts each day next week. Jefferson North, Sterling Heights and Toledo will also operate two eight-hour shifts on Saturday, May 15.
 Belvidere (Ill.) Assembly Plant will operate one nine-hour shift on Saturday, May 15, and one nine-hour shift each day next week.
 New Mack Avenue Viper (Detroit) Assembly Plant will operate one eight-hour shift each day next week.
 In Canada, Bramalea, Pillette and Windsor (Ontario), assembly plants will operate two eight-hour shifts for four days next week. Windsor and Bramalea will also operate two eight-hour shifts on Saturday, May 15. Pillette and Windsor assembly plants will not operate on Friday, May 21, and Bramalea, Pillette and Windsor plants will not operate on Monday, May 24, because of the Victoria Day holiday. Bramalea is scheduled to operate one eight-hour shift on Friday, May 21.
 Dodge City (Warren, Mich.) will not operate next week because of model changeover. About 2,600 hourly employees will be on temporary layoff. The plant will resume production the week of July 19.
