CHRYSLER NAMES LEWIS VICE PRESIDENT

 HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler Corporation (NYSE: C) announced today the election of a new corporate vice president.
 Harry A. Lewis was elected vice president - Process Management and Continuous Improvement. Lewis had been executive director - Process Management and has spent the past year as part of a cross-functional management team investigating new and better ways to run the company.
 While all employees have an inherent responsibility for continuous improvement, Lewis' primary assignment will be to assist and guide the corporation's continuous improvement initiatives across all processes.
 Lewis joined Chrysler Corporation in 1965 and has held a succession of executive positions in the finance and systems areas.
 Born in Detroit Dec. 22, 1942, Lewis received a B.B.A. degree from the University of Detroit in 1969.
