CHRYSLER MARINE SECURITY TEAMS UP WITH OUTBOARD MARINE CORPORATION

 HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., Nov. 17 ~PRNewswire~ -- Chrysler Service Contracts (Chrysler Marine Security) announced it has signed an agreement with Outboard Marine Corporation (Johnson, Evinrude, OMC Cobra Stern Drive) establishing Chrysler Marine Security as OMC's service contract provider.
 Chrysler Marine Security will work with OMC's Power Products Group to market and administer the OMC Extend service contract that will be available on new products sold through OMC's 4,500 U.S. dealers. The agreement also allows OMC dealers to sell existing Chrysler Marine Security service contracts on eligible used OMC products, new and used competitive products and any personal watercraft products a dealer may offer.
 James C. Lowry, manager of Chrysler Service Contracts, said the agreement linking OMC and Chrysler will enable OMC dealers to offer their customers "the most comprehensive, hassle-free service contract programs in the marine industry."
 "Chrysler will market its marine service contracts to OMC dealers as a total package. Dealers will need only one provider for virtually all makes and models of new or used watercraft they sell." Previously, OMC offered coverage only on its new products.
 Chrysler's Watercraft Plus plans covers new watercraft for five to six years and used watercraft for terms up to 12 or 24 months. Additional coverage options include Cruiser, Sport Fishing, Air Conditioning, Auxiliary Powerplant~Generator and Trailer packages.
 In addition, five-year coverage for new engines and coverage for 12 or 24 months on eligible used engines is available through Chrysler's unique Repower Plus and Repower Limited programs.
 Watercraft Plus and Repower programs include such benefits as a $100 land or water towing allowance, $50 hoist~haul-out allowance, a $25 repair deductible, nationwide service and toll-free telephone assistance, transferable coverage and an interest-free payment plan which allows consumers to defer the payment for a service contract up to 12 months.
