CHRYSLER CONSOLIDATES RENTAL CAR OPERATIONS
HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler Corporation (NYSE: C) today announced a consolidation of its rental car operations.
Chrysler's rental car companies include Dollar Rent-A-Car Systems, Thrifty Rent A Car Systems, Inc. and Snappy Car Rental -- all of which are units of Tulsa, Okla.-based Pentastar Transportation Group, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Chrysler. Chrysler also owns General Rent-A-Car.
In the consolidation, Dollar will acquire General, which will bring all Chrysler rental car operations under the Pentastar Transportation management and services umbrella.
The move is designed to improve customer service, increase operational efficiencies and strengthen the presence of Dollar in its respective market.
