CHRYSLER CAR PRICES INCREASE TWO-TENTHS OF A PERCENT

HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler Corporation (NYSE: C) today announced an average increase of $31, or two-tenths (.2) of 1 percent, in the base price of 1993 model cars, effective with shipments of Jan. 26, 1993.
The company also said destination charges on its cars increased an average of $25.
Chrysler attributed the pricing changes to the increased cost of doing business, including health care and pension costs, and capital spending for its new products.
