 CHRISTIAN RESPONSIBLE FOR CORPORATE LOAN REVIEW
 GREEN BAY, Wis., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Associated Banc-Corp


(NASDAQ: ASBC) announced the appointment of Richard F. Christian to the position of Vice President - Loan Review for the $2.8 billion multibank company headquartered in Green Bay, Wis.
 In his new role, Christian, 48, will be responsible for coordinating and administering the review and quality analysis of the loan portfolios of the company's banking affiliates. The loan portfolios of Associated's banking affiliates total in excess of $1.8 billion.
 Christian has been with Associated for almost 10 years, serving most recently as vice president - loan review at the company's largest banking affiliate, Associated Kellogg Bank, Green Bay. Before joining the Green Bay bank in 1983 as a loan review officer, Christian served as bank examiner with the Comptroller of Currency for 10 years in the Chicago and Minneapolis, region.
 A graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Christian earned his masters degree in business administration from the University of Hawaii.
 A resident of Appleton, Wis., Christian serves as vice president of Appleton's Sunrise Optimist Club. He also serves on Appleton's Downtown YMCA Partners With Youth Fund Drive Committee.
