CHRISTIAN PURCHASING NETWORK ANNOUNCES NATIONAL MARKETING AGREEMENT WITH LEE CARPETS

 SARASOTA, Fla., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Christian Purchasing Network Inc. (NASDAQ: CPNI) announced a joint marketing venture with Lee Carpets, a division of Burlington Industries. According to the terms of the agreement, Christian Purchasing Network will provide leads from its affiliated churches throughout the nation. Lee will in turn sell directly to and service the accounts. The Christian Purchasing Network will receive a five-percent royalty on each new account sold.
 Don Noell, director of sales at Lee Carpets commented that, "Our partnership with the Christian Purchasing Network will allow us to serve a well-defined market segment, which would have been difficult to access without the distribution strength that Christian Purchasing Network brings to the table."
 Thomas J. McElheny, chief executive officer of Christian Purchasing Network, said that, "We are pleased to have formed a partnership with Lee, who meets all our criteria for our Partnership Program." The company now has joint marketing ventures with the Copier Division of Lanier Worldwide Inc., Arthur J. Gallagher, the nation's eighth-largest insurance broker and Pennywise Inc., a national supplier of office goods.
 Christian Purchasing Network is a niche marketer of financial services and capital goods to the Christian community. The Financial Services division provides investment advisory and portfolio management services to institutional and individual investors. The Church Products division brokers a select market basket of value-added goods and services to the church market through group pricing and service contracts. Christian Purchasing Network, founded in 1989, is headquartered in Sarasota.
