CHILDREN OF NORDICTRACK EMPLOYEES RECEIVE SCHOLARSHIPS

CHASKA, Minn., July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- NordicTrack's parent company, CML, awarded eight Dan Throop Smith scholarships to children of NordicTrack employees. Judging criteria for the awards include academic promise, leadership, extracurricular activities, community service and financial need.
"NordicTrack and CML hope that the Dan Throop Smith Scholarship program helps further education for young adults and makes it easier for them to pursue their career goals," said Jim Bostic, president and CEO of NordicTrack.
For more than five years CML has offered Dan Throop Smith scholarships to children of NordicTrack employees. To qualify, candidates must plan to enter college as a freshman this year and their parents must have 90 days of full-time employment with NordicTrack as of June 1, 1993. The scholarship program is named in memory of Dan Throop Smith, a founding director of CML.
