 CHILD CARE CENTERS OF NORTH AMERICA ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION;
 ANDRE RANSOM APPOINTED CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
 DENVER, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Child Care Centers of North America Inc. ("CCCNA"), formerly Oakridge Acquisitions Inc., announced today that it has acquired the seven child care centers formerly operated by Children's Enrichment Development Partnership and Children's Enrichment Inc. The Denver-based operations consist of four free-standing centers and three before/after school programs operating out of area public schools. The operations have been merged into a wholly owned subsidiary, CCCNA Inc. CCCNA will operate the free-standing centers, together with its recently opened free-standing center in Westminster, Colo., a Denver suburb. While Children's Enrichment Inc., a separate company, will continue to operate the before/after school programs, CCCNA will provide the management services for those operations and will be paid for those management services.
 "We have completed the first steps toward building CCCNA into a premiere quality provider of child care services in the Rocky Mountain region," said Cary J. Polevoy, president. "We now have a core of operations that are expected to generate approximately $1 million in annualized revenues in 1992. A number of other center acquisitions are under negotiation, as previously announced," said Polevoy.
 Andre Ransom, managing director of Children's Enrichment Inc. ("CEI") and Children's Enrichment Development Partnership ("CEDP"), has joined CCCNA as chief operating officer, president of the wholly- owned subsidiary, CCCNA Inc. and a member of the subsidiary's board of directors. Ransom has been employed in the child care industry since 1971. From 1971 to 1979, she was employed by the Jefferson County (CO) Department of Social Services, principally in the role of supervising and managing functions related to the auxiliary services of Day Care and Foster Home Licensing and the supervision of Children's Protective Service workers. Since 1979, she has been president/executive director of CEI and since 1981 has been managing partner of CEDP. Ransom was named to the Governor's Task Force on Children in 1976, and is a founding member of Colorado Child Care Association and is a current board member. She is a member of various industry organizations, including NAEYC, CAEYC and the Colorado Child Care Coalition. Ransom is a graduate of Xavier College and the University of Colorado.
 Harold G. Arnold, also a partner in Children's Enrichment Development Partnership and a director of Children's Enrichment Inc., joins the subsidiary's board of directors. Arnold is the founder, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Venta Inc. operator of the Convenience Plus chain of convenience stores, one of the largest privately-owned corporations in Colorado.
