CHEVY'S PACIFIC COAST REGION SALES CLIMB IN JUNE

 SAN FRANCISCO, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Chevrolet's Pacific Coast Region continues its June sales surge with retail car and truck increases for the San Francisco Zone of 36.36 percent (1,634 passenger cars) and 10 percent (3,227 trucks) and the Portland, Ore., Zone of 26.29 percent (1,345 passenger cars) and 7.22 percent (2,734 trucks) against the same period last year.
 The Full-Size Chevy Pickup is again the division's best-selling vehicle in the region with 2,809 retail sales. Prizm continues its phenomenal sales increase with a 525 percent rise over June '92 levels in San Francisco and a 90 percent increase in Portland. Suburban deliveries are climbing as well with San Francisco and Portland recording increases of 84 percent and 52 percent, respectively. Similarly, Tracker increased 113 percent in San Francisco and 44 percent in Portland. Cavalier deliveries are also up 50 percent in San Francisco and 11 percent in Portland.
 "There's no question affordable value sells," said Rick Baldick, Chevrolet's Pacific Coast Region marketing manager. "And no one beats Chevrolet for affordable value.
 "Camaro and Suburban are being sold as fast as dealers get them," Baldick said. "You really can't go wrong shopping at Chevrolet."
 The top-selling San Francisco Zone Chevy vehicles in June include: Full-Size Pickup; S-10 Pickup; Geo Prizm; Geo Metro; Suburban; Camaro; Astro; S-10 Blazer; Geo Storm and Cavalier.
 Portland's best-selling Chevrolets include: Full-Size Pickup; Geo Metro; S-10 Pickup; Suburban; S-10 Blazer; Astro; Geo Storm; Cavalier; Geo Prizm and Lumina.
