CHEVRON SELECTS BROKER FOR SALE OF HEADQUARTERS BUILDING

 SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CHV) today announced that it has selected Stubbs, Collenette and Associates, Inc. to handle the planned sale of Chevron's 71-year-old headquarters building at 225 Bush Street.
 As part of its cost-reduction program, Chevron announced in July 1993 that it would be selling the 22-story, 572,000-square-foot headquarters building and eventually transferring about 700 employees to the company's other buildings on Market Street. Approximately 2,000 Chevron employees currently work in San Francisco.
