CHEVRON DONATES $200,000 TO FLORIDA AND LOUISIANA RELIEF EFFORTS
SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 28 -- Chevron Corp. today announced contributions totaling $200,000 to support relief efforts by the Red Cross and other local agencies in hurricane-damaged south Florida and Louisiana.
"Chevron has thousands of employees and numerous major facilities in this vital region," said Chevron Chairman Ken Derr. "We hope our contributions will help ease the human suffering caused by this massive storm."
Because relief efforts are still taking form, the Red Cross will receive $100,000 and the remaining funds will be distributed in coming weeks.
