CHERNE MEDICAL ANNOUNCES THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ITS FIRST NATIONAL DISTRIBUTOR NETWORK

CHERNE MEDICAL ANNOUNCES THE ESTABLISHMENT OF
 ITS FIRST NATIONAL DISTRIBUTOR NETWORK
MINNEAPOLIS, April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- "With the strengthening of our financial resources following the January closing of our Private Equity Placement, we are now capable of an aggressive marketing program," announced David L. Printy, chairman, president and CEO. At the American College of Cardiology meeting in Dallas last week, Cherne Medical (NASDAQ: CHNE) signed contracts with national distributors covering approximately 75 percent of the core U.S. cardiology market. The distributor network includes five of the major U.S. cardiology markets: California, New York, Texas, Florida and Illinois.
All sales west of the Mississippi River will be managed out of an office in San Diego. Cherne Medical will maintain additional sales coverage for the Eastern Region of the United States from its office in the Tampa Bay, Fla. Area.
"I am extremely pleased with the caliber and extensive experience of the distributor network," said Printy. "The distributors appreciate that the well documented technology of variance cardiography offers major opportunities to reduce health care costs while improving quality of care."
It is planned that Cherne Medical will establish a European distributor network in conjunction with the European Society of Cardiology meeting in Barcelona, Spain during the third quarter. The European market potential for the Variance Cardiograph is estimated to be equal to the U.S. market.
Cherne Medical, Inc. manufactures and markets the Variance Cardiograph, a resting, non-invasive, stress-free diagnostic instrument capable of identifying coronary artery disease even when no symptoms are present. The common stock of Cherne Medical, Inc. is traded on the national over-the-counter market under the NASDAQ symbol CHNE.
