REVELLERS at a New Year party made sure a Coventry charity benefited to the tune of pounds 700.

The event at Edgwick community centre was organised by staff at Lota Garage, in Gulson Road.

Raj Dehele, one of the organisers, said the night had been attended by 350 people and had been a great success.

He added: "We wanted to do something for a Coventry charity and came up with this. We had a think about who we could give the cash to and Baby Lifeline is a very worthy cause."

Staff are now planning a charity golf event at Kilworth Springs on May 6.
