CHECKPOINT SYSTEMS BREAKS NEW GROUND WITH
'WIDE AISLE' ELECTRONIC ARTICLE MERCHANDISING(SM) SYSTEM
THOROFARE, N.J., June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Checkpoint Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHEK) has introduced the QS3000, a "wide aisle" Electronic Article Merchandising(SM) (EAM)(SM)) system that promotes sales- enhancing merchandising strategies and detects the unauthorized removal of protected products.
The new QS3000 can span aisle widths of four to six feet, depending on the type of targets used.
According to Tom Upshur, product manager, the QS3000 system reinforces Checkpoint's commitment to radio frequency (RF) technology for all retail markets. "In many retail environments, wide openings are a standard design feature. We can now offer retailers in these environments the same RF tagging and performance benefits available in our narrow aisle systems," said Upshur. "Our retail customers can now enjoy wider installation flexibility and better aesthetic appeal." The new system works with Checkpoint's disposable targets which can be deactivated without contact and can also be built into products or product packaging like earring cards.
In response to retail needs, Checkpoint is offering the new system in two package styles. The standard QS3000 is a "chrome loop" system. The QS3000 Plus features a formica cover, with trim available in a choice of four colors. With microprocessor control and digital signal processing, the QS3000 is a highly reliable detection system.
Checkpoint Systems, Inc. offers a variety of security and loss prevention solutions for the protection of assets in diverse market applications.
