CHECKPOINT SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGES THOROFARE, N.J., May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Checkpoint Systems, Inc.
(NASDAQ-NMS: CHEK), today announced the termination of Gregory S. Lawson, executive vice president-operations, as part of a management reorganization.
A.E. Wolf, chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer said, "The reorganization will better align research and development, manufacturing and distribution to our overall strategy of gaining market share through the delivery of a significantly differentiated product line. "The position has been eliminated and technology now will report to Kevin P. Dowd, executive vice president - marketing, sales and service. Distribution and manufacturing will report to Steven G. Selfridge, vice president of finance and chief financial officer," Wolf added. "The result will be the right products delivered to the market faster under Dowd's direction. Selfridge is charged with the efficient delivery of products and further expediting the reduction of manufacturing cost resulting in even more cost effective solutions for our customers," he stated.
