CHD Meridian and iMedica Corporation Form Strategic Partnership.

DALLAS -- iMedica([R]) Corporation and CHD Meridian Healthcare (an I-trax Company) (AMEX:DMX) announced today that they are creating a strategic partnership to offer iMedica's electronic health record (EHR) and practice management (PM) system, iMedica Patient Relationship Manager([TM]) (PRM), to CHD Meridian's 215 health centers across the United States. This partnership will allow CHD Meridian's health centers to operate more efficiently, provide better and safer patient care, improve communication through features like secure patient-provider e-mail, and pave the way to transportable personal health records.

At CHD Meridian workplace health centers, employees, retirees, and their families can receive convenient, on-site care for a variety of needs, from occupational health to primary care and disease management. More than 100 major employers, including many Fortune 100 corporations, have contracted with CHD Meridian to care for approximately one million employees.

"iMedica PRM will help CHD Meridian physicians provide a better continuity of care and increased safety for our patients," says Dr. Raymond Fabius, CHD Meridian president and chief medical officer. "iMedica's leading-edge technology matches our view of the future of healthcare, and its ease of use and simple training will give physicians the opportunity to be more efficient when it comes to patient information and be consistently updated on their patients needs, while at the same time reducing costs."

iMedica CEO Michael Nissenbaum adds, "We are delighted to partner with CHD Meridian. They have shown a real commitment not only to excellent patient care but also to efficient business practices and the effective use of technology. iMedica shares these commitments, and I know this partnership will bring real benefits to CHD's patients and their employers."

iMedica PRM unites iMedica's award-winning electronic health records system with practice management functions, all-in-one application and one database. iMedica PRM version 6 (the EHR component) has been certified by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT(SM)). CCHIT certification helps physicians who have been overwhelmed by the number and variety of EHR systems available. Physicians can now look to the products with the CCHIT seal as an important criterion in their decision-making process for their practices' EHR systems.

iMedica PRM helps practices manage the entire patient relationship in one system and one database. Uniting clinical and practice management data lets iMedica PRM do things that other systems can't, such as showing health maintenance reminders in the schedule and avoiding interface issues between disparate systems - just a few of the many ways iMedica PRM helps physicians streamline their practice workflow and achieve a fast ROI. Optimized for a Tablet PC, the iMedica PRM allows doctors to hold the computer like a clipboard, maintaining eye contact with the patient throughout a visit. Physicians have the flexibility to work in whatever way suits them best: type, click, talk, or even hand-write and draw. iMedica has posted the fastest time in the TEPR Documentation Challenge - which clocks real physicians charting a Level 4 visit using different EHRs - every year it was offered since 2002. And just as important, the resulting visit note was determined to be accurate and complete.
