CHARTSLOT; WOWPOP WITH JOHN DINGWALL.

1 MARTINE McCUTCHEON

Perfect Moment (1)

FORMER EastEnders star Martine goes from queen of the Vic to queen of pop with her first solo single.

2 PHATS AND SMALL

Turn Around (4)

BRIGHTON DJs Russell Small and Jason Phats sampled Toney Lee's Reach Up last year. Now the disco favourite has been remixed by Norman Cook, better known as Fatboy Slim

4 VARIOUS ARTISTS

STEPS, B*witched, Billie, Cleopatra and Tina Cousins pay tribute to the Swedish pop legends with their collection of Abba covers.

5 SUEDE

Electricity (-)

LOYAL Suede fans have put Brett Anderson's band back in the Top 10, but Electricity lacks the energy of previous hits.

6 TLC

No Scrubs (8)

TLC's members have overcome bankruptcy and rehab to chart with this slinky, acoustic R&B smash.

7 THE CARTOONS

The Danish psychobilly pop group's pre-teen appeal keeps them high in the charts with this novelty hit.

8 MR OIZO

Flat Beat (2)

Flat Eric may be wearing fake fur but Quentin Dupieux's pounding French house track is less hip after sliding six places.

9 HONEYZ

Love Of A Lifetime (-)

Sultry follow-up to Finally Found and End of the Line for the appropriately named trio - Celena Cherry, Naima Belkhaiti and new girl Mariama Goodman.

10 NEW RADICALS

SINGLES SLOT TEXAS

In Our Lifetime

THE Scots rockers - Sharleen Spiteri, Johnny McElhone and Ally McErlaine - look set for their biggest hit yet.

This is the first single from their forthcoming album called The Hush.

A cross between Kiss by Prince and Hong Kong Garden by Siouxsie & the Banshees, it's as catchy as Britney Spears without risking the band's serious music fans.

The band will play a one-off show at Glasgow Barrowlands on May 30. The concert will be broadcast live on Radio 1 as part of their Music Live festival.

ALBUM SLOT

REEF

Rides

HOW long before Reef feature in an advert for throat lozenges?

Gary Stringer's rasping vocals helped the band score a clutch of hits from their last album, Glow.

This includes the band's current single, I've Got Something To Say. Though it continues the same formula as previous songs, don't be surprised if it charts high next week.
