CHARLES R. CARLSON NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES AND MARKETING FOR COMPUTER CURRICULUM

 NEW YORK, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Charles R. Carlson has been named executive vice president of sales and marketing of Paramount Publishing's Computer Curriculum Corporation, it was announced today by Ronald F. Fortune, CEO and president of Computer Curriculum.
 In this newly created position, Mr. Carlson will be responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing and will contribute significantly to strategic planning.
 Mr. Carlson comes to Computer Curriculum from Jostens Learning Corporation, where he most recently served as group vice president for development and technology, in charge of product development. During the six years with Jostens he also served as regional marketing manager for the southwest and was Jostens top salesperson for three years. Prior to that, he held key management positions with a number of education companies, including vice president of sales and marketing at both Ideal Learning and Educational Development Corporation. Earlier in his career, he spent five years as a teacher and principal.
 "Chuck brings a wide range of expertise and breadth of experience in education," said Mr. Fortune. "He will be a tremendous asset to the Computer Curriculum team."
 Mr. Carlson, 56, holds a 1960 Bachelor of Science degree in education from Indiana University.
