CHARITY TREK OF A LIFETIME.

A CHARITY was today calling on Merseyside adventure seekers to sign up for the trip of a lifetime.

The Breast Cancer Campaign is fundraising through a trek to the mystical ruins of Machu Picchu.

The trek runs from October 1-10 during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Participants walk between four and eight hours per day, taking in breathtaking views of Cusco, the ancient Incan capital, the famous Lares hot springs and the magnificent ruins of Machu Picchu.

The charity has 20 places available and all participants need to register by May 1. Kelly Walton, events executive at the charity, said: "Over the years our supporters have trekked to Peru to celebrate all sorts of occasions such as their 40th, 50th, even 60th birthdays.

"Some participants even took part as a personal challenge to inspire them to lose weight and get fit. "Whatever your reason, we'd love you to join our team and I guarantee you will return home with many unforgettable memories."
