CHARITY SHOW AT GAOL HOUSE IS GOING TO ROCK.

Byline: with Niamh Mceneaney

Ialways get excited when I have a new date to add to my fashion diary but one in particular is set to be the highlight of the year... which is why I am highlighting in the literal sense too.

Symphonic is a charity event taking place next month. I have it marked in my diary (highlighted many times in red biro, and in illuminous green to).

It is stored in my Smartphone calendar, which is set to alert me about the event exactly eight hours before the event actually takes place.

And my holiday form wasfilled out and signed, weeks ago, by my editor to ensure I definitely have the night off.

Yes, this is a fashion event I will NOT be missing and I suggest you don't either.

There a several reasons why: 1. It is in aid of Action Cancer - a fantastic charity which does fantastic work around Northern Ireland.

2. It is taking place in a new and really exciting venue - Crumlin Road Gaol. Amazing! 3. It is being organised by some of the most creative people in the industry. I have worked with them before... several times... so I know how good they are, and in turn how good this show is going to be. We're talking the amazing Cindy McKendry (event organiser) creative extraordinaires Jamie Russell and Lewis Cameron (stylists and designers), Staffords, Lisburn Road (hair, and amongst the best in the business) Rebecca Bryson (make-up, also one of the best in the business) and fantastic photographer Catherine McKenzie.

Symphonic takes place on Thursday, November 12.

Hosted by the very glamorous Sarah Travers and my Hatwalk pal Joe Carlin, it will showcase established and emerging talent in Northern Ireland.

Guests will arrive to a drinks and macaroons reception supplied by Eva Paris NI.

A light supper will also be served during the interval with an exclusive goody bag for all guests including gifts supplied by Coco Mojo and Passion Preserved.

Tickets, which are selling fast, are priced PS25 and are available from www.actioncancer.org and at your local Action Cancer store.

So now you know why it is going to be the highlight of the fashion calendar, and why you should be highlighting it in your calendar too.
